Wylie Urban Farm & Market
In late 2024, an idea that had been brewing for years finally got to open its doors: the Wylie Urban Farm and Market!
After launching the Wylie Urban Farm Co-op, I had been dreaming of creating a food-centered community space that would empower the local farmers and small business owners I had been working with through the Co-op to sell their products in a brick-and-mortar storefront, while giving opportunities for the city of Wylie and surrounding areas to access high quality, unique, and fresh produce.
At the same time, in 2024, Rachel Echols organized and opened the very first seasonal Wylie Farmer’s Market! Her work in partnering with so many local growers and vendors allowed us to combine forces and open the doors of the Wylie Urban Farm & Market in December.
